萬向聯軸器采用十字軸承聯接兩端聯接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補償可達25?以上，采用花鍵聯接可以大距離地補償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優(yōu)異，在現代工業(yè)領域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字萬向聯軸器采用剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬向聯軸器使用的場合相近，主要運用在重載大型裝備領域，回轉直徑可達1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯軸器采用整體式叉頭布局，主要用于軋鋼機械，起重運輸機械等其他重型裝備領域，回轉直徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可達30m以上，是運用相當廣泛的萬向聯軸器。

萬向節(jié)聯軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應在十字軸萬向聯軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進行。十字軸式萬向聯軸器聯接的機泵在安裝過程中都不可避免地要進行同軸度的調整，使對輪既同心又平行，否則將影響機泵使用效率或造成設備運行事故。

靠背輪聯軸器用來將不同機構中的主動軸和從動軸牢固地聯接起來一同旋轉，并傳遞運動和扭矩的機械部件。有時也用以聯接軸與其他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊配合等聯接，緊固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將兩半聯接起來。

靠背輪聯軸器可兼有補償兩軸之間由于制造安裝不精確、工作時的變形或熱膨脹等原因所發(fā)生的偏移（包括軸向偏移、徑向偏移、角偏移或綜合偏移）；以及緩和沖擊、吸振。
